3 Easy steps that may prevent home damage!
Cold Weather can cause more than a draft this winter if frozen pipes aren’t prevented or taken care of properly. These simple steps can help you effectively prepare for Winter.
1. Leaving a faucet open during freezing cold weather can help prevent your pipes from freezing. Allowing a slow drip from a sink is a simple way to keep water moving in the pipes and can prevent bursting.
2. If possible insulate pipes exposed to the elements or cold drafts. As well as using proper outside insulation materials for hoses or outdoor fixtures.
3. Opening an under-sink cabinet or placing a small fan near trouble areas can be helpful by allowing more warm air to circulate around your pipes.
Never try to unfreeze your pipes on your own using a blowtorch, kerosene heater or other open flame devices. If you need help always remember to call a plumber. Professionals at Mr.Twister Plumbing are here to help with any indoor or outdoor emergencies this Winter. CALL 610-740-4002
